ANZAC Day

ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand on April 25th, commemorating the 1915 landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) at Gallipoli during World War I. It is a day to honor all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations, and to acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who have served. Commemorations include dawn services, marches, Catafalque party and wreath-laying

The dawn service is formulated by Shoalhaven Heads RSL at the Shoalhaven Heads Memorial Park

Vietnam Veterans' Day

On 18 August, we commemorate Vietnam Veterans’ Day on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in 1966. We remember the sacrifices of those who died and say thank you to almost 60,000 Australians who served during the 10 years of our involvement in the Vietnam War.

The service is formulated by Shoalhaven Heads RSL at the Shoalhaven Heads Memorial Park.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is observed on November 11th to commemorate the anniversary of the end of World War I and to remember all those who have served and sacrificed in all wars and armed conflicts. Commemorations include a minute’s silence at 11 am and are often marked with ceremonies at war memorials, and the wearing of a poppy, which became a symbol of remembrance after the war.

It marks the armistice that ended World War I, which took effect at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

The service is formulated by Shoalhaven Heads RSL at the Shoalhaven Heads Memorial Park.
