Our Mission

The wellbeing and welfare of RSL members and other veterans is our primary concern, and our Committee members are available at all times to respond to requests for assistance. The social activities we undertake also have the purpose of sustaining camaraderie and supporting our members’ wellbeing. However, our Sub-Branch also has an important role in ensuring that commemorative events are held to honour the service of all Australian Defence Force personnel and our allies, both past and present – and particularly those who paid the supreme sacrifice. Our Sub-Branch is also the guardian of the ‘Spirit of Anzac’ in Shoalhaven Heads area, so we engage with the community to promote that spirit, to provide information on our activities, and to encourage membership of, and interaction with, our sub-Branch. This website, and our social media platforms, are important new elements of our support and engagement functions. They enable the sub-branch’s Executive and Committee to communicate with our sub-Branch members and other veterans in an efficient and effective manner. They also provide the means for our members and other veterans to communicate directly with us via social media, to ensure we can respond to ideas and concerns as they arise.
